The Fiat Stilo Abarth is modeled as a small family car. It is produced by an Italian car making company known as Fiat Automobiles. This vehicle is available as a three door as well as a five door hatchback. The manufacturers made this model to replace the Fiat Bravo. It was first produced in the year 2001 and immediately a Stilo Multi Wagon was launched in the year 2002 to replace it. This was in Italy. However in countries like Brazil it is still being produced.
The styling of the Fiat Stilo Abarth received a lot of criticism especially from the cars enthusiasts as well as the journalists who claimed that the vehicle had so many German features. It was like it was primarily intended for the Germans. They also claimed that it was too bland. Many people were not happy with the excessive weight that this vehicle possessed. The vehicle had been installed with a semi rigid rear axle which did not allow easy handling and many people were not at ease with it. The petrol engine of this vehicle was termed as underpowered. It was a high fuel consumer and this was an undesirable quality especially because this vehicle is not in the high class vehicles category which is known for their high fuel consumption.
The selespeed gearbox was slow in its reactions and was thus deemed inappropriate for this kind of high powered vehicle. The driver’s seat has also attracted some form of criticism. Many people who have driven this vehicle complain that it is not comfortable at all. Aside from the criticism, the vehicle had massive strengths in the braking system. It was perfect. It also has a high level of grip on the road. This has been contributed by the fact that the vehicle has wide tires unlike other car models. The Fiat Stilo Abarth was the first vehicle ever in the world to use Electric power assisted steering technology. This technology was used in the year 2003 on other car models.
